Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the owner and CFO to prepare and analyze financial reports using advanced Excel functions and formulas.
- Support the implementation and ongoing maintenance of SAP Business One, providing assistance to the team with the new ERP system.
- Ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
- Perform reconciliations of accounts and resolve any discrepancies or issues.
- Assist with the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial statements.
- Monitor and analyze financial data, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
- Conduct periodic audits of financial activities to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Stay updated on changes in accounting standards and regulations, recommending adjustments as necessary.
- Provide support during external audits and assist with the preparation of audit schedules and documentation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial processes and systems.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions and formulas.
- Experience working with SAP ERP software.
- Knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in financial data analysis.
- Any experience working with inventory is highly preferred.
- Canadian and US currency experience is required.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Prior experience with Sage or other accounting systems is a plus.
