The accountant will be responsible for bank recs, assisting controller with month end closing, monthly, quarterly, yearly reporting.
Overview the accounts payable department, costing, participate in budgeting, and all tasks associated.

Responsibilities
RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Prepare bank reconciliations (CDN & US) and credit card reconciliations
-Prepare monthly reconciliations of major general ledger accounts
-Assist controller with the month end closing process which includes journal entries, calculation of
commissions and analysis of specific expenses etc.
-Responsible at month end for the generation of various month end reports
-Prepare various monthly ,quarterly and year end reports for senior management 1
-Assist controller with the year-end file for the company auditors and government audits
-Overview the Accounts Payable department and acquire a good knowledge of the A/P module ,major
vendors and approve wire payments
-Assist the controller with the record-keeping of holdco transactions on a monthly basis
-Participate in the preparation of annual budgets
-Costing
-Assist controller with various projects
Qualifications

-Bachelors Degree in Accounting with minimum 3 years of experience
-Strong understanding of basic accounting principles
-Basic costing knowledge an asset
-Excellent organizational and analytical skills
-Detail-oriented
-High degree of proficiency in Excel ( pivot tables & V-Look up tables)
-Excellent interpersonal both verbal and written communication skills
-Organized , autonomous, dynamic and team player
-Bilingual -English environment ,Strong English and working knowledge of French required
-Computer friendly and can easily adapt to accounting package in use (Momentis APGL)
