Our client in Vancouver is hiring for an Accountant, the ideal candidate will be driven with a strong technical accounting background. Reporting into the Controller you will be assisting with accounting, inventory costing, budgeting/forecasting, planning and analysis.

Key Responsibilities:
•Responsible for the month-end/year-end accounting for the Vancouver refinery, including the preparation of period-end journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and assisting the Controller
•Prepare monthly inventory reconciliation for BC Operations, tracking inventory costing and quantities and assist in periodical and year-end inventory counts.
•Assist with any accounting related questions
•Assist in the production of monthly, quarterly, and yearly Western operations financial and management reports, including identify areas of process improvement in financial reporting, KPI development and tracking;
•Assist in the production of operational management and budget reports, including identify areas of process improvement in financial reporting, KPI development and tracking;

•Salary of $60,000 - $75,000 depending on experience
•3 weeks vacation

•Flexible working hours

•Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
•Currently hold or pursing their CPA
•Food production or Manufacturing industry experience is a MUST
•Proficiency in using Navision is an asset
•Intermediate level Excel skills
•Analytical and problem solving skills
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills
•Attention to detail, accuracy and organizational skills are required
•Ability to multitask and prioritize your workload
