    We are looking for a highly motivated Accounting Clerk with Blackbaud system experience to join a team in the Not-For-Profit industry located right in the heart of downtown Toronto.

    Position: Accounting Clerk
    Location: Downtown Toronto
    Industry: Not for Profit
    Type: 6-month contract to start, conversion to permanent based on performance assessment.


    Do you have at least 6 months of accounting experience and excellent knowledge of the full accounting cycle?
    Are you able to perform data entry efficiently with minimal to no errors?
    Do you have experience working with Blackbaud systems like Raiser's Edge, Financial Edge?

    Responsibilities
    In this Accounting Clerk role in downtown Toronto, you will be responsible for:
    - Perform data entry for vendor invoices
    - Maintain the Accounts Payable mailbox – reply to vendors’ inquiries, and manage online invoices
    - Maintain accounts receivable files and records
    - Make appropriate accounting entries to reflect transactions
    - Communicate directly with vendors to resolve payment and other queries
    - Check authorizations and account coding
    - Check for accurate coding of GL entries, including the allocations of costs
    - Reconcile vendor accounts balance and accounts payable balance
    - Generate invoices and account statements
    - File invoices
    - Confirming daily deposits with the bank account
    - Provide other accounting support as required

    Qualifications
    This Accounting Clerk role located in downtown Toronto requires:
    - Minimum 6 months of experience in Accounting or related duties.
    - Experience using Blackbaud products is a must : Raiser's Edge, Financial Edge
    - Diploma or Certificate related to Accounting and Finance is an asset.
    - Strong Microsoft Excel Skills (Pivot tables, V-lookup, formulas, etc).
