We are currently recruiting for an Accounting Clerk within the Hamilton area. This fully in-office, full-time permanent position that will involve AP, AR, Journal Entries, bank reconciliations, as well as other accounting duties.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience within day-to-day accounting activities, is highly organized, detail-oriented with strong communication skills and is experienced with various software - QuickBooks is preferred - as well as intermediate Excel skills.

Responsibilities
- Investigation and providing supporting documentation as requested by the customer
- AR / AP
- Bank reconciliations
- Posting Cash
- Work with departmental staff to ensure goals are achieved
- Running and analyzing hold reports
- Requesting authorization from customers
- Pre-authorizing or processing credit card payments
- Releasing orders to production
- Auditing
- Assisting the Senior Accountant
Qualifications
- Minimum of 4 years of experience with Accounts Payable
- Post-secondary education in Accounting or Finance is an asset
- Ability to work in a faced paced environment and a high-volume department
- Skilled with various software: QuickBooks is preferred, as well as knowledge of Excel
- Must have strong attention to detail
- Strong ability to multitask
- Strong Organizational skills
- Strong Communication skills
