We are currently recruiting for a permanent, full-time Accounting Clerk in Cobourg. You would be working with an established manufacturing company within Cobourg. In this position you will be reporting to the Accounting Manager and providing support to all internal departments. A normal day would include receiving, verifying, and processing invoices, matching invoices to PO's, bookkeeping, and providing administrative support. This is a full-cycle, high volume accounting clerk position that also offers opportunity for advancement.
The ideal candidate will have experience working as an accounting clerk within the manufacturing industry. If you consider yourself to be organized, hardworking, and have a keen eye to detail, this might be a great opportunity for you!

Responsibilities
- Receiving, verifying, and processing invoices via Sage
-Matching invoices to PO's
- Handling the Bookkeeping and any accounting records within the office
-Providing administrative support
-Ordering office supplies
-Using bookkeeping databases, spreadsheets, and software such as Microsoft Excel
-Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable
-Providing assistance to internal departments
-Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Experience with Sage and the ability to navigate the software is required for this position
- Strong organizational and time management skills are an asset in this position
- Proficient working with Microsoft Suite
- A minimum of 1-3 years working in a full cycle accounting position
- Ability to work in a small team environment independently and as part of a team
- Administrative experience with the ability to adapt to requirements of the job
-Experience working as an Accounting Clerk/ Bookkeeper in a manufacturing company is an asset
-WSIB bookkeeping experience is an asset
