A well established Marketing/ Advertising firm located Downtown Toronto is looking to hire an accounting clerk to join their team. This role directly supports the Assistant Controller in the areas of accounts payable and media reconciliation for their Canadian and American operations:

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide hands-on support to the Assistant Controller and the accounting team.
• Process, verify and enter accounts payable for both the Toronto and Chicago office.
• Prepare reports for accounts payable; used to determine weekly payments.
• Prepare cheques, on-line payments and ACH/wire transfers on a weekly basis.
• Prepare vendor payments through our credit card purchasing program on a monthly basis with reconciliation of these payments.

Qualifications
• A minimum of two years of work experience in a clerical accounting position is an asset.
• University degree or College diploma in an accounting program.
• Experienced with accounting software. QuickBooks experience is a definite asset and a preference.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent negotiating and analytical skills.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Critical thinker/problem solver.
• Detailed oriented.
• Motivated by a challenge. Desire to learn and grow
