Responsibilities
- Perform data entry for vendor invoices
- Maintain the Accounts Payable mailbox – reply to vendors’ inquiries, and manage online invoices
- Make appropriate accounting entries to reflect transactions
- Communicate directly with vendors to resolve payment and other queries
- Check authorizations and account coding
- Check for accurate coding of GL entries, including the allocations of costs
- Reconcile vendor accounts balance and accounts payable balance
- Maintain accounts receivable files and records
- File invoices
- Generate invoices and account statements
- Confirming daily deposits with the bank account
- Provide other accounting support as required
Qualifications
2+ years of experience in an accounting role or equivalent relevant experience
Post Secondary education in business or relevant course of study
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Experience with MS Office
SAP, Sage 300, Great Plains, Netsuite experience considered an asset
