    Attention CPA's looking to transition to management! We have an excellent opportunity with a construction firm, leading a team of 2.

    This is a 6 month engagement, this is to cover a sick leave and may extend. There are several projects with deadlines, this will require the chosen candidates to integrate into the company and understand the business quickly.

    Responsibilities

    - Candidates have to arrange for a monthly performance review, track project expenses, and dispute the Estimate at Completion analysis.
    - Determining the main budget and any variations that require the attention of partners.
    - Look for flaws in the analytical documentation's quality.
    - Make suggestions to the JV on how to enhance their performance monitoring.
    - Organize a number of management meetings with partners.
    - Write a summary of the management issues that have been recognised and the actions that have been taken.
    - Keep track of the progress of all management concerns
    - Issue financial management and expense control alerts to partners.
    - Acknowledge and conclude all financial presentation issues that arise during the project and may have an impact on the group's financial statement presentation.
    - Justify the accounting records executed on the project with the team.
    - Be in charge of monthly and quarterly team reporting in accordance with IFRS standards.
    - Recognizing the company's activities and specific needs in order to coordinate the implementation of appropriate system settings with the IT teams.
    - Assist in the coordination and communication of the various integration stakeholders.
    - In charge of the accounting and monthly review of these newly established organizations.

    Qualifications

    - Candidates must have an accounting designation (CPA, CA, CMA, CGA).
    - At least 5 years of experience in the private sector, preferably in the construction industry.
    - A thorough understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards 15 (IFRS 15).
    - Financial statement consolidation and presentation.
    - Microsoft Office suite, JDE. Computer literate with a track record of using complex spreadsheet tools in a Windows-based setting.

    Summary
    Compensation: 50+/hour depending on experience
    Duration: 6 months
    Location: North York - Work from home
