Responsibilities
Supervising the accounting team and providing guidance on day-to-day activities.
Ensuring the accuracy and completeness of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
Developing and implementing accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with accounting principles and standards.
Managing the month-end and year-end close processes and preparing financial reports for management.
Overseeing the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts.
Reviewing and analyzing financial data to identify trends and make recommendations to management.
Managing the internal control environment and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
Coordinating with external auditors to ensure timely completion of audits.
Providing financial guidance to other departments within the organization.
Participating in special projects and initiatives as assigned by management
Qualifications
Bachelors in Accounting or DEC with relevant experience
Management experience needed
2-4 years of experience
Bilingual (An asset)
Experience working with Great Plains or other ERP systems
