Responsibilities
Your responsibilities for this role with this leader in the hotel and restaurant industry in downtown Montreal will include
Manage the recorded hours of employees, managers and unionized employees.
Ensure that daily revenues are reviewed and corrected on a daily basis.
Account for and reconcile daily deposits, including credit cards.
Manage accounts payable, match, code and record invoices (Sage300 and Adaco).
Follow up on requests from customers, suppliers, department heads and regional office.
Active involvement in the internal control process (regulations, procedures and monthly and annual inventories).
Reconcile banquet events to contracts, requisitions and audio-visual equipment.
Reconciles tips and service charges from the catering department.
Participates in the set up of the accounting department for the opening of the hotel.
Implements all control processes for the catering and banquet department.
Supervises the accounting clerk.
Qualifications
This position in Downtown Montreal for this leader in the hotel and restaurant industry requires the following qualifications:
Accounting skills and experience working with basic hotel computer software.
DCS in a related discipline or experience in a similar position.
Use of MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Experience as a day or night auditor in a hotel: an asset.
Experience as a clerk or accounting technician: an asset.
Good synthesis ability, planning, organization and creativity skills
High degree of efficiency, autonomy and rigour
Ability to work under pressure
