Responsibilities
As an Accounting Technician, you will have the following responsibilities:
o Payroll and benefits management;
o Management of the complete accounting cycle (payables, receivables, etc.);
o Make month-end entries;
o Issue cheques and transfer funds;
o Prepare monthly returns and remittances (GST/HST, QST, etc.);
o Reconcile balance sheet, interco and other accounts;
o Follow up on financing;
o Support the Controller;
o Support accounting clerks on more technical issues;
o Collaborate with internal teams on projects or transaction issues;
o Other related general accounting tasks.
Qualifications
o DEP in accounting;
o Minimum of 3 years' experience in accounting;
o Ability to work methodically and logically;
o Proficiency in the Office suite;
o Knowledge of Sage50 software (an asset);
o Billingual english/french (mandatory).
