We are currently recruiting for an Accounts Payable Clerk within the Hamilton area. This fully in-office, full-time permanent position will involve entering daily AP invoices, processing miscellaneous invoices, processing AP cheques, Spreadsheets, and coding as required, as well as other accounts payable duties.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 year of experience within Accounts Payable, is highly organized, detail-oriented with strong communication skills and is experienced with various software - QuickBooks is preferred - as well as intermediate Excel skills.

Responsibilities
- Entering daily Accounts Payable carrier invoices
- Processing all Accounts Payable miscellaneous Spreadsheets and coding as required
- Clearing Accounts Payable cheques daily
- Manual Accounts Payable cheques, computer cheque runs, and EFT payments
- Accounts Payable Inquiries and adjustments (working closely with dispatch and Accounts Receivable)
- Accounts Payable month-end including accrual preparation, depreciation, pre-paid, bank reconciliations, and claims reconciliations
- Maintaining Vendor information
- Handling Petty Cash
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of experience with Accounts Payable
- Post-secondary education in Accounting or Finance is an asset
- Ability to work in a faced paced environment and a high-volume department
- Skilled with various software: QuickBooks is preferred, as well as knowledge in Excel
- Must have strong attention to detail
- Strong ability to multitask
- Strong Organizational skills
- Strong Communication skills
