Are you an experienced Accounts Payable Manager with a passion in leadership, quality assurance and process improvement? If you thrive on working in a fast paced and high volume environment then this opportunity could be for you.

My client is a market leading brand within the construction industry. Located in North York, an exciting opportunity has arisen for an Accounts Payable Manager to join this high performing team at an exciting time of growth.

Reporting to the Controller your responsibilities will include:

• Coach, lead and develop a team of up to 8 Accounts Payable Clerks
• Monitor and analyze department work to develop more efficient procedures and use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracy and confidentiality.
• Provide situational resolution relating to staff including conflicts, absenteeism, performance issues, etc.
• Supports and provides leadership by mentoring and training each function of the Accounts Payable department.
• Provides overall strategic planning, team development, and business process efficiency to the team.
• Develops and maintains quality assessment program within the department.
• Manages the professional development of direct reports by establishing annual goals and objectives for each and advises staff on progress.
• Supports the Accounts Payable Director with special projects and process improvements as needed. Completes other ad hoc analysis and duties as needed

• MUST HAVE Minimum of 2 years experience Accounts Payable managerial experience (direct reports)
• Working experience with an ERP system, preferably Oracle
• Knowledge in the areas of three-way matching, intercompany transactions, and foreign exchange
• Process implementation & improvement
• Strong leadership and communication skills
