Responsibilities
- Make payments by receiving, processing, verifying and reconciling invoices.
- Prepare, perform and follow up on subcontractor and supplier releases
- Collect the necessary documents from the subcontractor against payment and at the end of the project (releases, ARQ, CNESST and CCQ compliance letter)
- Pay suppliers by verifying tax identification numbers (GST/QST), planning and preparing cheques in accordance with the client's payment certificate (principle of payment at the time of payment)
- Reconcile supplier statements of account on a monthly basis and at the end of the project for subcontractors.
- Follow up on non-compliant invoices with project managers and coordinator and resolve discrepancies in orders, contracts, invoices or payments
- Maintain records of invoices by saving in PDF format and filing documents.
- Answer various questions from suppliers regarding their accounts and expected payments
- Report discrepancies to the CP Manager
- Protects the value of the organization by keeping information confidential
Qualifications
• DEC, or relevant experience
• Previous accounts payable experience (2+ years)
• Great communication skills
• Full accounts Payable experience
• Construction experience is a plus
