SUMMARY OF YOUR ROLE AS AN ACCOUNT PAYABLE TECHNICIAN:
Under the supervision of the Accounts Payable Supervisor, the Accounts Payable Technician performs the processing of vendor invoices and maintenance of current vendor accounts.

Responsibilities
The Accounts Payable Technician is responsible for:
- Classify, code and enter invoices into the system;
- Verify and reconcile vendor statements;
- Follow up on problematic invoices;
- Prepare the list of cheques to be issued;
- Prepare month-end provisioning entries;
- Prepare month-end provisioning entries; Reconcile raw materials on a monthly basis;
- Perform related tasks: Expense accounts, visa accounts, etc;
- Follow up with suppliers to ensure that their SQF information is up to date;
- Ensure that the actions of this position support the manufacture and sale of products with the quality and food safety criteria defined by the company;
- Other related duties.
SQF/HACCP Requirements:
- Ensures that actions in his/her function support the manufacture of products with company defined quality and food safety criteria;
- Ensure compliance with SQF food safety code requirements and report any food safety issues to authorized personnel;
Qualifications
- DEC or DEP in accounting;
- 3-5 years of relevant experience;
- Thoroughness and accuracy in data entry;
- Excellent knowledge of MSOffice (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Interpersonal skills and diplomacy.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Ability to work in a team environment;
- Autonomy and versatility;
- Fluently bilingual in French and English, written and spoken.
