We are currently recruiting for a permanent Accounts Receivable Clerk position for our client in the Milton area. Within the distribution field, this company offers fast paced work, friendly team members, and variety of work tasks. A normal day within this position would include weekly maintenance A/R files, follow up with customers regarding short/late payments, and any discrepancies as well as assisting with administrative tasks as required. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years experience in Accounts Receivable, will have the ability to multitask and prioritize efficiently and will showcase tenureship within their past employment.

Responsibilities
- Daily application of cash receipts to customer accounts
- Preparation of daily bank deposits
- Follow up with customers regarding short/late payments, and any discrepancies
- Work with other departments as required to solve invoicing issues
- Send monthly customer statements
- Release customer orders based on creditworthiness
- Weekly maintenance of the A/R Insurance program
- Receive incoming material into the system, making sure to apply appropriate costs
- Provide backup to the Admin team
Qualifications
- Post Secondary education in accounting, or related work experience
- Minimum 3 years experience in Accounts Receivable
- Time management skills, ability to prioritize tasks
- Works well within a team atmosphere
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal skills, demonstrating ability to build relationships
- A positive, go-getter attitude
- Strong communication skills, including written and verbal
- English/French Bilingual is preferred, but not a requirement
- Strong Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Working knowledge of Steel Manager 3 (SM3) is preferred, but not a requirement
