Responsibilities
A successful Accounts Receivable Specialist (AR) in Surrey will be responsible for:
-Collections: Proactively follow up on past due accounts and determine when accounts may be trending towards delinquency.
-Problem Solving: Collaborate with clients and internal staff to resolve payment issues and ensure timely solutions.
-Statement Preparation: Prepare and send account statements to customers on a regular basis.
-Account Reconciliation: Reconcile customer accounts as needed to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
-Payment Posting: Accurately post payments to customer accounts, including cheques, credit cards, and EFTs.
-Deposit Preparation: Scan cheques or prepare bank deposits as necessary.
-Credit Checks: Handle credit checks for internal staff on shipments to assess customer creditworthiness.
Qualifications
-3+ years of Accounts Receivable (AR) or Full Cycle Accounting Duties
-Ability to reliably commute (location does not have transit accessibility)
-Ability to work under pressure and hit targets and deadlines
-Some knowledge of Transportation and/or Customs Brokerage industry would be a HUGE asset.
