job description

The Large Accounts Pricing team is responsible for supporting the pricing and profitability of all large commercial accounts. We do so by providing actuarial analysis on Property, Casualty and Auto products and collaborating with underwriters and the leadership in these areas. Senior management helps to establish appropriate renewal strategies. The team plays a key role in supporting the financial goals of the commercial insurance business.
We provide technical expertise by evaluating the profitability of commercial accounts with premium above $1M or those involving complex/unique structures through the use of standard methodology, actuarial principles and using pricing and simulation tools available within the Commercial Insurance department. You will work closely with underwriters, and occasionally with brokers and senior management.

• You will conduct indication analysis to ensure rate adequacy of individual accounts
• Your ability to effectively communicate results of analysis to the managers, and underwriters will build on ongoing performance and data knowledge.
• By demonstrating an understanding of pricing tools and models used for the evaluation, you will support the strategy for future experience for new and renewal accounts.
• We recommend alternative pricing solutions based on rare characteristics of the large accounts, and you will drive this in the work you do.
• Your contributions in ad-hoc pricing projects to improve our team’s level of sophistication will deeply impact the business.
