We’re looking for an administrative assistant/ data entry assistant to join an insurance company, in DT Richmond.
Are you a motivated individual looking to break in to the insurance industry? Then you may want to read on.


In this position you will be responsible for the following:
-Create Verification of Benefits (VOBs) and send to providers and/or Preferred Provider Organization (PPO) networks.
-Complete payments in external claims portals and create matching records in our internal claims system.
-Follow up on outstanding bills with networks and providers
-Contact hospitals to ensure the prompt receipt of medical records
-Data entry and match incoming payments
-Close files accurately and appropriately.

Qualifications
- Degree or diploma in business or other discipline
- 1+ years’ experience in data entry, work processing

- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- A passion for accuracy

- Ability to pass a criminal record check as required by insurance councils for licensing
- Ability to work (37.5hrs/wk)
- Strong team player and positive contributor
- Proficient in MS Office Suite and able to learn applications quickly
- A strong customer experience focus
- A passion for continuous learning and professional achievement
- A passion for travel
