Responsibilities
As an Administrative Assistant for this optometry, your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Perform daily administrative duties, including, but not limited to, booking appointments, answering the phone, contacting referrals, preparing patient charts and filing, and handling mail and faxes
• Ensure all consult and follow-up notes are sent out in a timely manner.
• Assisting with eye testing and eye care dispensary
• Ensure professional and friendly interactions with patients, staff and internal and external customers. Any other administrative duties as assigned
Qualifications
As an Administrative Assistant for this optometry, you must qualify the following:
• 1 year of relevant administrative experience such working as a Medical Office Administrator, or as an Administrator in a professional office setting
• College, undergraduate degree (all disciplines), or CCOA certification is an asset
• Optometry experience is an asset
• A professional and mature approach to customer service is a must
• Excellent skills in the following areas: written and verbal communication, organization, problem solving and multi-tasking
