Responsibilities
• Provides 1:1 coaching and mentoring to all Agile Coaches, and ensures their roles and responsibilities and delivery expectations are clearly understood on the team and through the Scrum processes and ceremonies.
• Act as a champion for all Agile Coaches globally, as it pertains to Digital Enterprise and teams. Help stand up new agile teams and provide coaching and consulting to these teams to support their development and ongoing improvement to become self-organizing, self-managing and highly functional. This includes supporting the development of the Product Owner, Scrum Master and the team members.
• Plays a leadership role to help remove impediments and facilitate an environment of continuous improvement and adoption of agile/scrum practices.
• Provides coaching on how to prioritize and manage items in the backlog and maintain a backlog 3 to 4 sprints ahead of the team
• Works with other Coaches, with a specific focus on Agile, as they empower the team to become self-organizing, self-managing and highly functional.
• Provides educational support to the organization on Agile practices to increase the Company-wide execution, innovation and overall maturity.
• Promotes the Agile culture and mindset throughout the organization. This includes leading teams and influencing leaders and partners as they learn and adopt Agile practices by supporting them through coaching, mentoring, facilitating and teaching.
• Promotes the use of DevOps technical practices and tools.
• Coordinate with other teams, facilitate preparation for Product Increment Planning, and support the Agile Release Train estimates for larger features and capabilities.
• Provide the educational support to the organization on Agile principles and Scrum/ Kanban practices or any additional Agile techniques to increase the Company-wide execution, innovation and overall maturity.
Qualifications
• Undergraduate degree, college diploma in a Business discipline
• Formal teaching or coaching experience
• Agile Certification – PMP, PMI-ACP, PSM ,CSM, CSO or other Agile certification
•3- 5 years of coaching experience in Agile delivery / transformation / training / coaching and is a discipline expert in agile practices (Scrum, SAFe)
Key technologies include: Confluence, JIRA, MS Office, Miro
• Must have a mindset of a test and learn attitude, a bias for action, a passion to innovate and a willingness to learn.
• Expert facilitator with mentoring, training and teaching experience
• Exceptional influencing skills in one on one scenarios and within a group. Uses emotional intelligence and humility to understand what motivates people to act.
• Strong collaborator in cross-functional teams on technology, design, business, and operations
• Strong organizational change management orientation
• Understanding of the difference between consulting and coaching and knowing when to apply each
• Hands-on experience and previous accountability for delivery outcomes using Agile practices
• Commitment to grow as an Agile Coach through continually improving your own skills and approaches
• Proven ability to deliver significant improvements in self-managed Agile teams through application of coaching techniques
