Responsibilities
Main Tasks
▪Point-person for the life cycle of the project, ranging from planning initiatives to tactical activities
▪Support the Engineering Group / Technical team to plan and design and implement sealing solutions while keeping core manufacturing process capabilities in mind
▪Assist in the development/implementation of improvements to existing product design to maximize labour and material efficiency
▪Analyze tooling and equipment to improve product design for manufacturability
▪Prepare engineering drawings, schematics or prototypes based on pre-defined product requirements
▪Communicate with the Engineering Group to obtain details of equipment and materials requirements
▪Plan project timelines milestones, and deliverables, using appropriate software tools and methods
▪Liaise with internal/external customers and vendors to troubleshoot issues; provide technical support
▪Preparation of final project manuals and associated documents for the completion of the project
▪Manage engineering projects from concept to implementation
▪Responsible for preparing CAD working plans and technical drawings for projects
▪Organize and maintain a design and CAD digital file database for each project
▪Review plans and write technical reports to meet project specifications
▪Employ problem-solving strategies and find solutions to problem areas of the project
▪Ensure proper documentation of all work, products, and relevant activities
Qualifications
Qualifications/ Requirements/ Competencies
▪University Degree or College Diploma in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering
▪3-5 years of project management experience in a related field - rubber or plastics manufacturing facility
▪Knowledgeable about APQP, GDT
▪Proficiency with AutoCAD, Solidworks, and other CAD software is essential
▪Excellent grasp of fundamental engineering concepts and relationships
▪Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
▪Excellent computer skills with advanced competencies in MS Office & Adobe
