Our client is seeking an Intermediate Transportation Engineer for their Langley, BC office.
The Incumbent will work within a multi-disciplinary team of talented Engineers and Technologists to deliver excellent service to our clients. The Intermediate Transportation Engineer will be responsible for managing and delivering transportation planning and traffic engineering studies from the proposal to completion stage.

Responsibilities
- Support the discipline managers in preparing capacity analysis for individual intersections, corridors and networks
- Prepare signal designs and long range plans
- Conduct multi-modal assessments, traffic calming and safety reviews
- Produce conceptual and functional level designs
- Mentor junior staff
- Provide assistance with proposals and marketing as required

Requirements
- University graduate in Civil Engineering or Transportation-related field of studies
- Relevant post-graduate degree would be considered an asset
- Minimum 6 years’ working experience in transportation planning and/or traffic engineering
- Registration as a P.Eng., Professional Engineer, in British Columbia, or eligible for registration as a P.Eng. in British Columbia
- Experience with current transportation software, such as Synchro, SimTraffic, and HCM, Sidra is essential
- Experience with modelling software such as EMME or VISSIM would be considered an asset
- Experience in undertaking road safety reviews and development of pedestrian or cycle plans would also be considered an asset
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required
