Advantages
Basic Function
•Works with various resources within the Company interacting with multiple Program
•Management teams to meet APQP objectives for the Cambridge plant.
•Serves as a member of the Program Management Team in order to support the cross-functional goals within the assigned programs for the APQP process. Reports to the Operations Manager.
•Regular contact with suppliers, Corporate Program Management Team, Purchasing, Engineering and Operation Teams.
•Strong problem-solving skills, communication, organizational skills and effective decision-making skills are required.
Responsibilities
•Ensure that the program milestones are met and tracked by the team through the appropriate monitoring tools
•Seek all necessary information from the appropriate sources such as internal extended teams, Corporate Engineering, external suppliers and customers.
•Communicate with the various coordinating activities involved with the program such as
•customers, suppliers and internal teams.
•Follow the appropriate management systems which ensure that all required program launch activities and quality planning activities take place during the development of the Program.
•Coordinate appropriate risk management activities.
•Work and interact with the APQP teams as assigned to assist with all APQP disciplines, objectives and results.
•Create and maintain customer relationships in a professional manner.
•Identify the requirements and expectations of the customer.
•Learn to assist and facilitate projects within cost management, quality planning, human resource planning and risk identification
•Support the safety and environmental programs to ensure a safe work environment for all employees and maintain compliance as well as IATF 16949 registration.
•Be able to lead, motivate and influence through effective communications the APQP team.
•Contributes to team success by accomplishing related results through the meeting of deadlines.
•Participate in process improvement and problem-solving activities.
•Maintain document control.
•Ensure risk reduction is completed quarterly and the folder has all pertinent information
•Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
•Secondary school education in an appropriate field or an equivalent combination of Education and experience
•3 to 5 years of manufacturing experience.
•Good judgement, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
•Good communication and interpersonal skills.
•Strong verbal and written communication skills.
•Ability to support multiple launches concurrently.
•High energy and initiative.
•Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office.
•Teamwork oriented and ability to work independently.
•Knowledge of the APQP processes is required.
Nice to Haves
•Knowledge of the Project Manager would be an asset
•Knowledge of QAD would be an asset
