Responsibilities
Assists the Global Buying Team to achieve all KPI’s with particular emphasis on sales and profit.
Supports the Buyer/Global Buying Manager (GBM) to execute business plans which have been
agreed with vendors in line with the beauty strategy.
Manages the implementation of new business and new vendor agreements including update of
annual Commercial Trading terms, ensuring compliance to Commercial Trading Terms and all
agreed negotiations.
Maintains and develops positive vendor relationships while supporting the buyer to deliver a
Best In Class proposition.
Supports delivery of new vendor openings and changes to in-store locations.
Supports the Buyer in the compilation of supplier meeting packs and works through follow up
actions to ensure completion post meetings.
Develops good working relationships with local operations teams, collating feedback and
identifying opportunities for offer improvement to Buyer/GBM.
Supports the development of a strong local promotional plan including on-counter offers and
GWPs to build growth and ensure a great customer experience.
Working closely with the local Marketing Manager and visual merchandising team to support
the build and implementation of the local promotional plan.
Briefs store teams on all relevant information including price changes, promotional activities,
new launches, and in-store execution.
Supports the Buyer to complete weekly and monthly category analyses.
Manages queries from SSC and commercial analysts in relation to pricing and rebates ensuring
all admin is up to-date and accurate.
Qualifications
Experience in retail (asset)
At least 1-year of experience in buying would be preferable.
Must have strong administrative skills and familiarity working in a fast-paced environment.
Strong commercial awareness.
Excellent numerical and analytical abilities.
Capable communication and presentation skills, to be able to articulate recommendations and
present information to all levels across the business and suppliers.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel).
Build strong relationships with other stakeholders in the business and with suppliers.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in French and English.
