Responsibilities
The assistant controller will have the following responsibilities:
- Coordinate the complete accounting cycle, including supervision of payables, receivables and end-of-month entries;
- Prepare internal monthly and annual financial statements;
- Produce analyzes of financial results, including variance, profitability and cost analyses;
- Participate in the preparation of the annual budget by collecting data from the different departments;
- Supervise a small team of accounting technicians;
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of processes;
- Produce ad hoc analyzes for management;
- All other related tasks.
Qualifications
We are looking for the following qualifications for this assistant controller role:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting;
- CPA title, a strong asset;
- Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting, whether in a company or in a firm;
- Fluency in French and English;
- Management of priorities and sense of initiative.
