Responsibilities
The Associate Category Manager (ACM) partners with the Category Manager to assist with all aspects of managing a product portfolio to drive B2B sales.
Prioritize, manage and action daily requests from sales, purchasing and other departments.
Creation of new vendor parts (including product categorization and attribute specifications) to drive parts through to our website.
Assist with analysis and processing of vendor price lists.
Build vendor relationships to drive support for price negotiation, contract pricing, product information, etc.
Participate in vendor meetings.
Assist with the creation of scheduled marketing tools such as printed flyers, digital flyers, web promotions and catalogs.
Utilize the key components of business drivers (e.g. historical performance, competitive landscape, consumer identification, etc.) to support category sales growth.
The Associate Category Manager may also manage a smaller category of vendors and products.
Qualifications
Hybrid position, candidate must be able to travel into the office as required.
Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or similar related field, or a relevant combination of education and experience.
Strong proficiency with MS office suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
Excellent communication skills - written, verbal and presentation (English and French).
Ability to drive results, lead and influence others to reach required business objectives.
Strong time management skills.
Ability to multi-task and adapt if business needs shift priorities.
Strong decision making skills.
Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and within a team environment
