Our client in the London area has partnered with Randstad Engineering in their search for an Automation Manager to join their team! As an Automation Manager, you would provide leadership and mentorship to the Automation Department, to position the Company to the forefront of the industry.

In this role, responsibilities would include:
• Develop and execute a strategic plan to advance the Automation Department, promote revenue, profitability and growth.
• Oversee Automation Department operations/synergies to ensure production efficiency, quality, service, and cost-effective management of resources.
• Plan, develop, and implement strategies for generating resources and/or revenues for the Company.
• Review activity reports and financial statements to determine progress and status in attaining objectives, revise objectives and plans in accordance with current conditions.
• Evaluate performance of employees of the Automation Department for compliance with established policies and objectives and contributions in attaining objectives through annual performance appraisal.
• Monitor and report monthly on the performance of Automation Department.

As a qualified candidate, you meet the following requirements:
• 5+ years of management experience, specifically overseeing an Engineering/technical team
• Previous experience in the Automation Industry
• Proficient in SolidWorks
• Ability to develop and deliver presentations to customers
• Able to motivate teams and simultaneously manage several projects
• Sound knowledge in all aspects of mechanical and electrical design
• Experience in formulating policy and developing and implementing new strategies and procedures
