RESPONSIBILITIES
What will you be doing?
- Very hands on, working on production floor - performing PM's, repairs, installation of new automated lines
- Machine, fit and assemble parts and components
- Operating saws, turning, milling, boring, drilling & precision grinding machines
- Operate and troubleshoot Injection Molding Machines - Sumitomo
- Study blueprints and drawings, determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work
- Set up Automation equipment, for the type of tooling to be used for production
- Detect, isolate and identify irregularities and malfunctions in equipment, including pneumatics and controls
- Troubleshooting, modifying and programming PLC's and HMI's
- Performing Preventative and predictive maintenance on machines
- Change over molds, using overhead cranes and Raymond reaches to move equipment
- Documenting and monitoring Process Procedures
QUALIFICATIONS
Who are we looking for?
- A very hands on, driven, mechanically inclined Automation Technician / Mechanic
- Must possess a 433a license
- Minimum 5 years experience in manufacturing / automation environment
- Proven ability to multitask and troubleshoot quickly to minimize down time
- Experience in an injection molding department (operating and maintaining equipment)
- Experience in a tier 2 automotive facility will be most transferable
- Control Systems training (PLC) an asset
- Quality Control data collection experience an asset
