Responsibilities
• Responsible for hanging parts on a conveyor system
• Perform skilled painting of parts and equipment - sand, mask, blend to meet or exceed customer expectations
• Perform tasks such as grinding, metal glazing, caulking, smoothening of uneven surfaces
• Operate and maintain the tools and equipment used in industrial painting
• Manage paperwork to ensure that job orders stay together, ensure all carts and parts are labeled
• Maintain supplies and materials by notifying the supervisor of any issues or shortages
• Prepare, check the viscosity, and mix the paints to match the specified color codes
• Modify existing programs and tooling selections to suit job requirements and ensure the quality of the parts
• Troubleshoot and perform corrective action or minor repairs
• Document work completed, clean or lubricate equipment and replace parts as required.
• Other duties and tasks as assigned by supervisor as required by business for safe and effective continuity
Qualifications
• MINIMUM 2 years of experience required
• Having forklift truck experience of at least 1 year is an asset
• Previous experience with industrial painting as it pertains to trucks, agricultural equipment, construction equipment, mining equipment, forklifts, etc.
• Previous experience operating lift trucks and hoist cranes
• Physical ability to lift 50 lbs
• Ability to work in a deadline-oriented, fast-paced, and flexible environment with repetitive tasks and minimal supervision
• Knowledge of methods, materials, tools, and equipment used in the industrial painting trade
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team to accomplish production goals
• Mechanical aptitude
• Ability to lift 50 lbs when required
• Available for overtime hours as per business requirements
