Responsibilities
Build the Team
In this role, you will be responsible for recruiting, developing and retaining top data engineering talent.
We are looking for a leader to help fill out the team to help on the journey from our existing platforms
to our target architecture.
Develop and Execute on the Roadmap
You will lead and deliver on technical strategy and guide your team pragmatically through technology
decisions. You will set data standards and ensure that all systems contain complete, accurate and
detailed data. It will be important for the data engineering team to be experts in the data structure of
both raw and processed datasets within our estate. There will be a specific focus on:
 Data model re-engineering including consolidation of superfluous systems
 Master data management
 Data governance and retention
 Life cycle of data from ingestion to consumption
 Modernizing the data platforms – you will help us select the toolset

Summary
We are looking for an AVP/Senior Manager - Data Engineering to join our growing multidisciplinary team and this
position will be reporting to the VP – Software Engineering and Enterprise Architecture. This is a hands-on
position and will be focused on building out the data engineering organization, as well as developing and
executing on the roadmap towards our target architecture.
