    AWS Applications Architect

    Randstad IT Solutions is delivering a Big Data/Analytics/AI/ML solution for its client within the aviation industry.

    We are looking for an AWS Applications Architect to join our project team.

    This is a strategic role within the team and will have a significant impact on the project outcome.

    Responsibilities
    Conducts fact-gathering sessions with users;
    Consults with Technical Managers and Business Owners to identify and analyze technology needs and problems;
    Participates in group application design activities;
    Performs data flow diagramming and process modeling (code architecture);
    Independently design, configure and implement various AWS modules;
    Some development will be required for shared services and components or technically challenging areas where the skills of an architect are needed;
    Providing senior management with process and design recommendations;
    Architectural decision-making.

    Qualifications
    Direct experience architecting/designing high throughput applications on AWS;
    Must have experience with resiliency, reliability, and high availability engineering;
    Proven ability to architect, design, and implement cloud-based and/or cloud-native solutions;
    Hands-on experience with containerization platforms and serverless computing, such as Docker, EKS, and Lambda;
    Hands-on experience creating RESTful services;
    Working knowledge of Databases, such as Amazon Aurora (PostgreSQL or MySQL), DynamoDB, Redis;
    Experience with migrations to the cloud from both physical and virtual environments;
    Knowledge of DevOps methods and CI/CD automation practices;
    AWS Solution Architect Associate certification at a minimum;
    Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or the equivalent combination of education and work experience.
