Our high-profile Vancouver client is seeking to hire a Business Analyst (Operational Reporting), on a long term contract with a strong probability of extension. What you’ll be doing?
As a business Analyst with our Vancouver client, you will:
• Gather, analyze, document, review and communicate reporting and data requirements across stakeholder groups.
• Assist in prioritizing requirements based on business and technical needs.
• Participate in testing phases throughout the development phases and in operational acceptance.
• Provide project/operational support in aligning overall scope and sequencing recommendations with business stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities to enhance reporting capabilities.
• Support one or more moderately complex business processes.
• Develop end user communication, training guides, policies, and procedures.
• Report to Project Manager and Operational Reporting Lead for Operational Reporting.

How do you qualify?
• 5+ years’ experience in information technology.
• 3-5 years’ business analysis experience.
• 2-3 years’ BI and reporting experience.
• 2-3 years’ advanced Excel (vlookup, sumif, dsum, iferror, match, choose, search, nested if’s, pivot tables, macro’s and linked spreadsheets) experience.
• 2-3 years’ experience with SQL: Microsoft (SQL Server Management Studio) and Oracle SQL (SQL Developer).
• 2-3 years’ experience with integration technologies (Oracle Serial Bus (OSB), Kafka) to acquire data from multiple source systems.
• Experience working with agile and waterfall methodologies.
• Basic-Intermediate experience working with relational databases; familiar with stored procedures, ad hoc queries and database linking to support basic trouble shooting.
• Strong analytical thinking skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven facilitation and problem-solving skills.

What additional experience do you bring?
• Experience with PowerBI an asset.
• Experience in a retail environment preferred.
