A Batch Maker will perform production work such as formulating, operating dry mixing equipment, filling and packaging materials. A Batch maker may work and assist in other positions throughout the facility.

1. Minimum basic reading and math skills
Job Types: Permanent, Full-time
Salary: $18.75-$20.50 per hour
Schedule:
• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
• Weekends as needed
Supplemental pay types:

Responsibilities
1. Operate mixing, blending, mixing, filling equipment utilized in the fabrication of product
2. Manually add certain components to mix
3. Mix and blend batch materials according to specific formulas
4. Assist department Foreman in accomplishing tasks and production goals
5. Perform basic preventative maintenance on assigned equipment
6. Assist with inventory control and daily production reporting
7. Package, lift and skid finished product bags and pails up to 60 lbs.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITITES:
1. Maintain work area clean and organized
2. Maintain overall acceptable attendance
3. Operate all positions of various departments such as cure plant, board line, packaging, etc. as needed
Qualifications
1. Ability to follow instructions and direction
2. Ability to work at a high pace
3. Ability to stand, walk, bend, turn, squat, reach, climb stairs for 8 – 10 hours per day
4. Ability to lift a up to 60 lbs
ERTIFICATES AND LICENSES:
1. Forklift operator certification preferred but not required
2. Must successfully pass in-house forklift training and certification
5. Ability to read and utilize measuring devices
6. Ability to operate simple hand tools
7. Ability to work in extreme temperatures (Winter-cold and Summer-hot)
