the chosen candidate will be part of a team of technicians whose tasks are, amongst others, shop testing and verification of standard and engineered products. The candidate will be assigned the specific task of receiving, verifying, testing, certifying and reporting on all manufactured products. He or she will also be responsible for following-up on any quality control issues that may have arisen. The candidate will be called to work independently, with minimal supervision, to carry out the tasks assigned. Support from other team members will always be available. The candidate will be required to report back to the manager on the advancement of all assigned tasks.
You will be responsible for:
• Study and comprehension of standard and engineered products (mechanical, electrical and controls)
• Study and comprehension of electrical diagrams, control loop diagrams, mechanical layout diagrams and process and instrumentation diagrams (P&ID).
• Post-fabrication verification and management of standard and engineered products.
• Annotation and reporting of verification and validation findings.
• Internal and external technical support of standard and engineered products.
• QA/QC of all manufactured equipment documentation updates (Test procedures, issue logging…)

Qualifications
• Electrical Technologist with 3 to 5 years of experience or acceptable equivalence
• Electrical knowledge, 24VDC, 120VAC, 480VAC / 60Hz to 1400Hz / 100kW to ***kW
• Knowledge of common standard testing and certification practices.
• Familiar with industry codes and standards (CSA, UL, IEC, IEEE, NEC, etc.).
• Good ability to write test procedures and reports,
• Knowledge of office-type software (Excel, Word, ACCESS, Outlook).
• Knowledge of instrumentation, control and flow diagrams
• Basic-to-Medium knowledge of PLC and HMI software (Allen-Bradley, Schneider Electric, SIEMENS, etc.)
• Knowledge of electrical diagrams.
• Basic-to-Medium knowledge of variable speed drive operation and programming.
• An excellent sense of organization.
• Attention to detail.
• Excellent problem solver, covering multiple disciplines (electrical, mechanical, etc.).
