We are recruiting a Bilingual (FR/EN) Patient Care Specialist, also known as a Caseworker, for a leading employer in the pharmacy space. The Bilingual Patient Care Specialist plays a key role in ensuring that patients get the care and medication they need by supporting them through the reimbursement process. As the primary patient contact, the Bilingual Patient Care Specialist must have excellent communication skills and empathy for patients and families who are dealing with life-limiting or debilitating conditions.
This role is perfect for a highly motivated individual who enjoys working with people, has strong attention to detail and can prioritize tasks in a high-volume environment.
As this role can be 100% remote, the successful candidate may be located anywhere in Canada and should have availability to work between 8 am – 8 pm Eastern Time (if you have availability between 9 am - 5 pm only or would prefer working the later shift up to 8 pm, please apply and we can discuss your availability).
We are seeking candidates who are available to start as soon as possible and will commit to the term of the temporary contract and put forth their best effort to be considered for possible permanent employment.

Responsibilities
What YOU will be doing as a Bilingual Patient Care Specialist / Caseworker:
- Engage patients by phone utilizing your French and English communication skills (written communication may also be completed in English and/or French)
- Use empathy to speak with patients and caregivers to support them with the completion of paperwork that will ensure they get the medication they require
- Work as part of a team to triage inquiries and requests from a shared email inbox and use chat to communicate
- Explain prescription coverage to patients and answer questions (templates Q&A provided as well as thorough training)
- Act as an important point of contact and liaison between patients and internal/external stakeholders and a representative of this world-class organization
- Other duties relating to patient support as required within appropriate scope for a patient support specialist/caseworker
Qualifications
What YOU bring to the role of Bilingual Patient Care Specialist / Caseworker:
- Bilingual in French and English, both written and verbal
- 1-3 years of experience in administration and customer service
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to use empathy when dealing with patients who are suffering from difficult conditions
- Prior experience, education, or strong interest in healthcare and pharmaceutical industry
- Tech-savvy – able to set up a home office, solid knowledge of Microsoft programs
- Strong organization, attention to detail, and prioritization skills
- If you prefer to work from home or hybrid, you must have access to a reliable internet connection and a workspace at home
- Highly motivated to learn, takes initiative
- Friendly, adaptable, capable of working both independently and as part of a team
