We are currently recruiting for a contract position for a Billing Clerk in the Burlington area. This position is a 2 month contract with the potential to be extended further. This position will include supporting the Billing Department to ensure correcting billing data is entered into system, verifying and correcting billing discrepancies, and processing meter changes, connects and disconnects.
The ideal candidate will have strong administrative skills, experience working with and learning billing systems, and intermediate to advance skills with MS Excel and Word (ability to sort, filter, input data and vlookups). This roles requires someone who is detail oriented, organized, and open to help where needed.

Responsibilities
-Data entry
-Admin work such as filing, mail merge, printing, scanning, folding letters and mailing them out
-Excel skills (Intermediate) – must know V-lookup. Pivot table would be an asset
-Attention to detail; accuracy is important
-Fast and accurate typing skills
-Able to work with numbers
-Run reports daily and weekly, review and address any issues (this is scenario based and requires critical and analytical thinking)
-Update work instructions (add and edit steps)
-Process customer call-in reads (voicemails and online forms)
-Process verification reads received from water meter readers
-Issue service orders to get water reads from meter readers
-Issue service orders to the Region for potential stopped meters etc.
-Update water readings coming from meter readers daily and run estimates for the accounts missing water read
-Other duties as assigned
