Randstad is now looking for a Branch Manager for well established Island company. As a Branch Manager you will be working with clients and the team to provide excellent service.

General Duties and Responsibilities

• Oversee and be accountable for the effectiveness of the Victoria operation, ensuring excellence in client service in every interaction;

• Establish and maintain strong client relationships;

• Participate in business development activities;

• Provide direct supervision, guidance, and support of Regional employees including assisting with recruitment, conducting training, providing corrective and disciplinary support, and ensuring adherence to company policy;

• Provide proactive client care, ensuring all issues are resolved in a timely manner;

• Ensure that all Regional personnel understand, and comply with, all applicable labour laws governing employment;

• Monitor all operational and incident reports and take appropriate action;

• Ensure that all Regional personnel understand site orders and are fulfilling client obligations;

• Supervise and guide South Island Scheduler and oversee scheduling process, mitigate overtime spending;

• Supervise and guide South Island Operations Coordinator;

• Ensure safety guidelines are followed, investigate safety issues with priority;

• Proactively manage team members with a focus on employee engagement, satisfaction, and retention, manage performance of direct reports;

• Work effectively with other departments, demonstrating strong administrative skills;

• Maintains a solid understanding of employment standards and pay practices, policies, and procedures;

Position Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in business administration or equivalent;

• Minimum of 3-5 years experience as a manager in an operational environment; supervisory or management experience in the security industry an asset;

• Possess sound judgement and decision-making skills, with a ‘hands on’ approach to problem solving; strong conflict resolution sills required;

• Remains calm under pressure and takes control of incidents;

• Must have strong leadership, social interaction, and organizational skills; proven ability to build and maintain strong working relationships;

• Possess strong knowledge of security procedures and scheduling;

• Must work well under strict timelines and posses the ability to manage multiple simultaneous priorities;

• Fluent in English;

• Mastery of MS Office

This position pays $60-70k depending on experience.
