Responsibilities:

• To perform building automation system start-ups do necessary programming integration and troubleshoot as needed for a successful installation
• Performs wiring checkout, system start-ups, programming utilizing commissioning tools provided, graphics creation, database management
• May coordinate electrical installation with electrical contractor at job site as required. Liaison with other contractors/sub-contractors (where necessary) to ensure site operations are fully coordinated.
• Completes final critical adjustments, calibration and commissioning reports on systems following installation and preliminary set up.
• Works towards the project schedule and work package received from the supervisor and/or project manager and maintains regular communication on the status and execution of the projects assigned.
• Completes and submits timesheets, expenses and other necessary information weekly ensuring a minimum productivity level.
• Keeps current on company products, policies, and procedures and disseminates appropriate information in a timely manner to direct reports.
• Ensures all work adheres to the company safety rules/statutory regulations/customer requirements. Adhere to the Health and Safety at Work Act at all times. Maintains current knowledge of regulatory laws, changes and requirements. Attains appropriate certification for divisional requirements.
• Responds to customer service calls emergency on-site or remotely checks indicated points of trouble analyses requirements of system involved and checks and test systems components
• Diagnoses trouble or defect determines corrective action and repairs system If improper operation is due to another system or component discusses and document problem with customer and/or office and advises of the best course of action
• Performs preventative maintenance and diagnostics on systems and components according to the service level agreement
• Tests and verifies system readings ensuring an optimal system operation Identifies additional chargeable opportunities including time and material work system extensions upgrades and service contact expansion


Qualifications:

• 2 to 5 years of experience in the building automation industry
• An associate's degree in Electronics / Mechanical or related HVAC experience
• Strong knowledge of industry engineering fundamentals and business operations
• Proficient in programming, job start-up, checkout, and troubleshooting
• Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)
• You must be able to participate in the 24 hour on call rotation program
• Valid Driver’s License
• Class M Electrical License preferred
