The industrial mechanic is essential to the proper functioning of the building's equipment in order to avoid unplanned shutdowns. The candidate will have different tasks to perform in order to prevent and correct the various equipment.
Working as an industrial mechanic for our company in Laval will allow you to balance your family life and your personal activities since the schedule is flexible.
The schedule is from Monday to Friday
Entry time can vary between 7:30 and 8:30 am. In general, employees are on duty from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.

Responsibilities
The industrial mechanic is responsible for :
- Performing preventive and corrective maintenance on the building and equipment;
- Follow and respect the preventive maintenance schedule related to the building;
- Complete the required forms and documents associated with the work performed;
- Manage the inventory and keep it up to date of the equipment under his responsibility;
- Detect any problems to ensure the safety, health and comfort of the premises and advise those in charge;
- Carry out dismantling, installation and adjustment operations;
- Carry out lighting work (change of ballast, neon, work at height);
- Carry out plastering, mortar, cement, mechanical and chemical anchoring work;
- Perform repairs to submersible and chemical pumps;
- Perform filter and belt changes in various ventilation systems;
- Be able to drive forklifts and lifting platforms;
- Perform inspection rounds to ensure building and service compliance to maintain accreditations in place. Make corrections as needed;
- Ensure the proper maintenance of the exterior environment, grounds, roofing, security, access to entrances and exits of the building;
- Ensure that his actions respect the quality and food safety criteria defined by the company.
-Must be able to work in a refrigerated area (temperature between 0 and 10 degrees)
Qualifications
You are known for your attention to detail, resourcefulness and are physically fit. In addition, you have these skills and experience
- DEP in industrial construction and maintenance mechanics;
- Experience in the food industry in processes and production lines (asset);
- Ability to troubleshoot automated systems;
- Good knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic/electropneumatic and hydraulic/electrohydraulic systems;
- TIG welding skills to perform sanitary welds;
- Knowledge of MS office suite (Excel, Word, Outlook);
- Ability to perform manual tasks;
- Ability to work in a team environment;
- Ability to work in a team environment; Enjoy challenges, attention to detail and ability to work under pressure;
- Bilingual: French and English (oral and written).
