Responsibilities
Your responsibilities in this Burn Table Operator role:
- Set up and operate Plasma/flame-cutting table
- Knowledge of omniwin and pronest software
- Ability to comprehend basic blueprints and drawing
- Ability to use overhead cranes and forklifts
- Ability to use basic measuring devices
- Working with heavy gauge metals, up to two inches in thickness
- Working with machine shop equipment: torches, cutters, grinders, saws, hand tools
- General maintenance of all equipment associated with the operation of the Plasma table
- Perform all necessary quality checks during production and follow procedures when defective parts are discovered
Qualifications
- 2+ years operating Plasma/flame-cutting table or Burn table experience (including set up)
- Looking for someone with experience in the steel manufacturing industry
- Familiar with heavy gauge metals, up to two inches in thickness
- Experience with other machine shop equipment: torches, cutters, grinders, saws, hand tools
- Able to use measuring tapes, and measuring tools
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Welding experience is an asset
- Forklift and overhead crane certifications are an asset
