Our high-profile client is seeking to hire a Senior Business Analyst - Retail, on a long term contract with a strong probability of extension. What you’ll be doing?
As a Senior Business Analyst with our Vancouver client, you will:
• Drive business analysis activities: requirements elicitation, process definition, systems mapping, and functional test planning.
• Gather, analyze, document, review and communicate requirements across stakeholder groups.
• Exercise influence of stakeholders with thoughtful and tactful communication to drive decisions.
• Prioritize requirements based on business and technical needs.
• Participate in testing phases throughout the project and support phases.
• Align overall scope and sequencing recommendations with business stakeholders.
• Communicate with a variety of stakeholders on business expectations and constraints.
• Develop end user communication, training guides, policies, and procedures.
• Develop testing scenarios based upon requirements, functional and technical specification documents.
• Work with external consultants, internal and external developers throughout the development and configuration cycles to ensure systems and modifications meet business needs.
• Coordinate/support software releases and post deployment validations with business and internal/external technical teams.
• Perform functional solution and design discussions with understanding of process, data and system flows to facilitate design decisions within a functional domain.
• Support one or more moderately to highly complex business processes.
• Support production issues as relate to application functionality and integrations (after go-live).

How do you qualify?
• 5+ years’ work experience as a Business Analyst.
• 2-3 years’ experience in retail.
• 2-3 years’ experience with RFID, Point of Sale or Inventory systems.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Proficient with systems-thinking and able to articulate them to various groups across the organization.
