    BUSINESS ANALYST

    -Start: ASAP
    -Estimated length: 12+ months
    -Location: Halifax NS

    PLEASE NOTE: This is an onsite work option

    Responsibilities
    • Requirements prioritization, criteria, and weights
    • Data Lake data management requirements documentation
    • Reporting and informational requirements documentation
    • Stakeholder interview and workshop documentation
    • Document Data Models, Entity Relationship Diagrams, and Metadata Models (supporting data
    architect)
    • Testing approach and plan documentation
    • Testing execution and results documentation
    • Contributions to key project presentations
    • Status reports
    • Research notes

    and support the development of potential action plans

    Qualifications
    You are a Business Analyst which includes:
    • A minimum of three (3+) years of experience as a business analyst
    • More than two (2+) years of recent experience working in the areas of business intelligence and
    analytics, preferably in an Agile or DevOps IT project environment.
    • Experience in defining information and reporting requirements in a Business Intelligence context
    • Experience using data modeling techniques for relational and non-relational database models
    • Working knowledge of cloud-native tools and data strategies. Microsoft Data Platform
    Technology (Data Factory, Data Lake, Databricks, Synapse, Azure SQL, Azure Analysis
    Services, etc.) knowledge is preferred.
    • Demonstrated experience with creating Entity Relationship Diagrams (ERDs) on a project of
    similar size and complexity.
    • Experience working on initiatives with multiple complex stakeholder groups representing various
    leadership levels, business units, and departments/organizations.
    • Demonstrated experience in developing and executing test scripts and in documenting testing
    results.
    • Highly effective communicator with the ability to communicate complex, technical concepts in a
    focused and well-organized manner.
    • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, etc.) is considered an asset.
    • Experience working with health-sector master data (Clients/Patients, Provider, etc.) is
    considered an asset.
    • Experience working in the health sector and/or in the Canadian public sector considered an
