What you’ll be doing?
As an IT Business Analyst with our Vancouver client, you will:
• Liaise with project stakeholders to elicit well-stated requirements and maintain effective communication.
• Document business processes in significantly different business domains.
• Analyze current business processes and determine future business needs.
• Work with stakeholders to determine business needs and craft an appropriate solution.
• Create and maintain comprehensive business analysis documentation.
• Create, analyze, and validate detailed functional specifications.
• Facilitate design sessions with the vendor and in-house implementation team to define the solution.
• Deliver elements of systems design: concise documentation of data migration rules, business rules, wireframes.
• Research and recommend existing software solutions.
• Utilize industry best practices to develop business solutions for the organization.
• Support testing to requirements including all custom solutions developed.
• Execute implemented process initiatives defined by the Business Process Manager in relation to the IT SDLC.
• Provide input on existing processes, procurement procedures and other department operations.
• Recommend improvements to increase efficiencies and/or decrease costs.

How do you qualify?
• Undergraduate degree/diploma in Business, IT or related discipline.
• 5+ years’ business analysis work experience.
• 5+ years’ experience with business Process Analysis documentation and modeling.
• Proven experience in eliciting requirements and getting to ‘what the business really needs’.
• Proven experience with using multiple BA techniques to get to the heart of the issue/need.
• Demonstrated ability to swiftly acquire expert understanding of different Business Processes.
• Demonstrated ability to quickly adapt to change of priorities in work.
• Excellent communication skills (oral, written and presentation).
• Proven ability to work in a team environment and collaborate on projects.

What additional experience do you bring?
• Experience working with ERP concepts in relation to business functions (Inventory Management, CMMS, Customer Service, Records Management, QA, policies and procedures, Finance, and Reporting).
• Experience with IIBA methodology and documentation.
• Experience with people-oriented Change Management.
• Experience training business personnel in the use of IT solutions.
