Seeking a Business Analyst who has knowledge and experience in supporting the planning and coordination of consultation and engagement activities with Indigenous groups in support of regulatory requirements, conditions and commitments for the Indigenous Relations Engagement team. This individual has the proven skills, competencies and capacity to work with various internal stakeholder groups, such as Regulatory Law, Environment, Indigenous Law, and Land to ensure CGL meets regulatory requirements related to Indigenous consultation and engagement. This includes supporting the preparation of written submissions for regulators and for other internal or external purposes.

Responsibilities
• Supports the planning and coordination of consultation and engagement activities by evaluating requirements and preparing recommendations for Manager and IR Regulatory Lead based on various factors and desired outcomes (best practices, regulatory requirements, commitments, risk review, etc.) This includes developing schedules and timelines, written notifications and letters, key messaging development, managing information requests
• Conducts records review and analysis to support consultation and engagement activities including regulatory submissions, legal and other requirements
• Works with other departments to compose and send courtesy and permit mandated notifications to Indigenous groups and other Project notifications as required
• Supporting the
• Inputs correspondence with Indigenous communities into information management software and conducts audits as required
• Liaises between Indigenous Relations team and Compliance team to identify, and record and track long term commitments
• Develop and implement procedures as required
• Capacity funding agreement preparation, processing, tracking, and forecasting
• Issue tracking
• Manages SharePoint file management for Indigenous Relations team
• Document preparation and formatting for Indigenous Relations team including letters, spreadsheets, presentations
• Working with Document Control to ensure proper record keeping for the Indigenous Relations team
• Other duties as required
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
• Undergraduate degree or post-secondary education in public policy, political science, business/commerce or relevant discipline
• Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience
• Knowledge of Canadian government, legislative, regulatory and general policy development processes
• Ability to research and synthesize technical and non-technical information into concise, engaging and easy to understand language in multiple formats depending on audience; particularly written communication
• Curious and motivated to learn, continually improve and work with a wide variety of internal stakeholders
• Organize and complete activities on multiple projects concurrently and in a timely manner, balancing detailed tasks with the priorities and pressures of the broader, macro environment
• Challenges the status quo and asks questions to understand background on processes and procedures
• Ability to follow through on commitments
• Strong knowledge in MS Word, Powerpoint and Sharepoint/Teams
Preferred Qualifications
• Able to weigh issues, navigate ambiguity and recommend solutions based on the available information
• Effective facilitation to create focus in a group, manage time and create a psychologically safe environment for eliciting perspectives
• Shows effective navigation strategies (able to determine where/who to go to) when seeking resources, decisions or information
• Able to leverage negotiating strategies and tactics to reach mutually agreeable solutions
• Familiarity with the energy infrastructure industry
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow through
• Proficiency in Excel
