We are currently looking for someone to join our client, a leading Canadian bank, within their Finance, Governance, Controls and Operations Risk department to work as a Business Consultant, providing project based support related to control testing, SOX, and internal audit. In this role you will work full time hours on a 12 month assignment, and earn a rate competitive within the industry. As a Business Consultant your main responsibilities will be to:

• Conduct control testing and identify risks
• Identify regulatory issues; recommend opportunities for improvement
• Determine requirements, project scope, and provide estimates
• Carry out research and data collection related to the client and industry.
• Analyze existing practices, positions, and data to understand the client, industry, and nature of business.
• Works closely with the project management team to determine required resources and create timelines.
• Develop implementation strategies and assist in the implementation of solutions.
• Perform and organize ongoing support for customers such as report building, data quality, new integrations, etc.

• Downtown Toronto, ON location

• 3+ years of experience in an audit control role
• Testing experience - internal audit groups or in an accounting firm
• Strong MS Excel skills
• Banking environment experience
• CPA or CIA designations are an asset
• Must be eager, driven, and willing to take initiative
• Energetic, outgoing, willing to work in a collaborative team
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
