Responsibilities
• Customer prospect profile maintenance
• Set up qualified appointments for joint sales calls with C.O.O (or designate)
• Take initiative in customer satisfaction via process improvement plans and efficient reporting and flow of information
• Prepare proposals and consult with the C.O.O on solutions
• Provide exemplary customer service and account relationship development
• Participate in marketing programs and events
• Report to C.O.O on customer relationships, pipeline, forecasts, and new prospects monthly
• Maintain and develop relationships with leads, prospects and existing customers via but not limited to meetings, site visits, telephone calls, and emails
• Take ownership of the identification of potential issues within live accounts and coordinate with operations to take timely and effective action to resolve them.
• Drive adoption of the products and services within assigned dormant accounts through a continuous increase in value
• Act as the go-to-person for account support and training on all products
• Travel required
Qualifications
• University degree, or an acceptable combination of education and progressively responsible experience
• Minimum 3-5 years previous experience in sales/business development
• Previous experience selling in the logistics industry, specifically in the areas of retail warehousing and distribution, international and domestic freight, priority freight, and high risk/high-value cargo is considered an asset
• Working knowledge of operations and transportation management
• Ability to interpret and act upon complex instructions
• Project management skills are considered an asset
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good financial and business awareness
• Strong written and verbal skills to communicate with all levels of the organization and its executive team.
• Strong quantitative and critical thinking skills
• Strong team leadership and teambuilding abilities
• Excellent conflict resolution skills, diplomacy, and tact
• Persuasive, motivational, and persistent
• Excellent planning and resource allocation skills
