Responsibilities
1. Operations Management
- Handle inbound and outbound calls for clients and enquiries.
- Redirect phones to appropriate internal source for quotes or further business development
- Coordinate with internal team to determine best suited parties for onboarding new business opportunities
- Opening prospect files in database, initiate quotes, follow up with the prospects and onboard the house account
- Filtering, evaluating and decided if moving forward with major RFQs
- Maintain up to date files of RFQs
2. Account Management:
- Identify and determine which accounts are to be handled by
account management and sales support and assume responsibility for their maintenance and optimization of business derived from such accounts.
3. Sales Support:
- Opening of prospect profiles.
- Processing of account set-up for new clients.
- Opening of OF quotes.
- Submitting quotes to clients.
Qualifications
- Must reside in Quebec (Montreal areas preferably)
- College level logistics & transportation education.
- Minimum 5 years directly related experience.
- International freight forwarding market knowledge
- Air, ocean, ground, and intermodal modes of transportation knowledge
- Customs knowledge
- Good knowledge of accounting and financial processes as well as cargo insurance and claims processes.
- Good knowledge and/or ability to use MS Office suite, CargoWise, Workday and a CRM are all a value-added feature.
- Fluent in English and French.
- Demonstrate a high regard for teamwork and involve the team in problem solving.
- Demonstrate good planning and organization of work and meet deadlines.
- Professional and clear communications.
- Capable of training, coaching and motivation operations staff.
