Must Haves:
· Demonstrated experience with database design (SQL Server, Oracle)
Experience developing BI and analytics Roadmaps for clients (e.g. Microsoft
BI)

· Working knowledge of advanced data visualization tools and techniques (statistical graphics, plots, information graphics). Some tools that would be of interest are Rshiny, Google Analytics, Tableau and Power BI (RShiny or RServer a MUST)
· Demonstrated experience with a range of analytical methods, techniques and tools: statistical analysis and modelling, data mining, machine learning and algorithms, natural language processing, business performance management, benchmarking text mining, predicative/prescriptive analysis and other related disciplines
· Demonstrated experience with statistics and modelling techniques such as econometrics, theory of Probability and Statistics - inference based on survey data, confidence intervals, regression models - multinomial linear, logistic, ridge, machine learning algorithms - training, model evaluation, hyper parameters search techniques

Responsibilities
• To support, influence and impact the use of analytics and strategy for analytics across the enterprise.
• To help develop and support the use of the Analytics, tools, and best practices across the enterprise.
• Provide consulting services to ministry business partners regarding their information consumption and analytical needs.
• Participate in the creation of detailed plans and accurate estimates towards development, testing, and implementation of the project or program.
• Contribute to successful project completion by identifying risks and developing/ recommending mitigation strategies.
• Participate in Proof of Concept or Proof of Technology projects.
• Help develop proposals and feasibility studies for small to medium projects
• Conduct technology research, evaluate analytics tools and produce strategy/direction papers
• Provide advice and guidance in the areas of advanced statistical modelling, econometrics tools and techniques.
• Provide planning advice to the project team on the use of data and building capacity within the Ministry on performing advanced analytics and data analysis.
• Provide direction on the statistical relevance of data to the project team
